Internet Bandwidth Costs Have Dropped

When MPLS networks came on the scene, the internet did not have the global backbone in place the way it is today. Packet loss and congestion were common place. And the T1 or E1 was considered a “big pipe” by many. The global internet cable infrastructure is now enormous. You can see that internet transit costs, which are the backbone costs of the internet, have gone down every year.
